Lyndsay Silver, APRN

Lyndsay Silver has twenty years of experience as a nurse practitioner. She got her start in cardiology and primary care, gaining skills in procedures and holistic care.  For the last 9 years she has been treating vein disease in a clinic devoted to veins and it has become a passion. She has trained other clinicians and educated primary care providers about vein disease. She is knowledgeable in her specialty, compassionate toward her patients, and skilled in the procedures she delivers.

The more patients Lyndsay treated in the vein practice, the more variances she began to notice.  If a person with vein disease is treated properly, their symptoms usually improve, if not completely resolve. But some of her patients, while they did improve some, did not experience the relief or resolution of their symptoms the way it seemed they should have, and Lyndsay got curious. This prompted her to do some research, and she began to learn more about lymphedema and lipedema. The patients who hadn’t improved likely had one of these diagnoses as well. At the time, Lyndsay’s place of employment didn’t have a path for these patients, and she would refer them to other specialists so they could experience relief of their swelling, discomfort, or wounds.

All of this new information caused the tiniest spark of an idea which bloomed into a vision of a space where patients could come and receive care for all their lower extremity edema problems:  vein disease, lymphedema, lipedema, and wounds. She also envisioned a clinic where people really cared, patients were listened to, and most of the problems that affect the legs could be addressed. A place that wasn’t too hard to find, where parking wasn’t too far, and when a patient walked in the door they were greeted. And from this little spark – Crosswalk Clinic was born. We hope you can feel the difference.
